I sent my dear car in for her long awaited air cond system fix up... and looking at the weather recently, its an essential part of owning a car in malaysia.... Horsepower aside, comfort is a major factor as well...
So yea..i sent her in on saturday.... and predictably i couldnt get her back on that day itself... theres some major reworking mind you....
On sundays the accesory shop doesnt work... and so i was informed that she'll be done by monday afternoon...of which i requested for a half day at work hoping to pick up charlotte by 1pm...
Heck, today is monday.... and i woke up this morning, greeted by the old and heavily influenced chinese - english accent of Mr.Tan, the owner of the accesory shop , informing me that my car wouldnt be ready by the afternoon and instead i had to pick it up after work....
So what a waste of half a days pay... Met my baby, kev and shane for lunch in a borrowed Daihasu Mira 660 a.k.a kancil which is owned by my aunty... Drove the little thing to work at 70kmh on the NPE and drove back eagerly hoping that i'd be able to pick charlotte up....
Unfortunately, my hopes came crumbling down when i called Mr.Tan at about half past seven.... Unfortunatly theres some welding work left to be done and only tomorrow will i be able to pick her up.... sigh...one mroe day of driving in the mira.... which i am extremely thankful for eventhough its one of the slowest cars ive driven... Heck, it brought me to work and back....with air conditioning as well...so why the heck am i complaining...
SO yea.... Hopefully ill be able to have her back by tomorrow night....
Frustations aside....
My trip to perhentian seems to be getting somewhere, we got essential info for our trip and i think we'll be abel to close all reservations by the weekend...although we'll need a credit card to do soem of the bookings.... so yea..anybody generous enough to lend a credit card...do let me know....
But of course ill pay you back...hahaha.... and sorry, no interest.... just asking a favour....
Oh yea..before i forget which i probably will.... Wynton's bday is coming up...so i think it'd be nice to wish him now....

Of late..
I honestly cant remember when the last time i blogged was.... although i do know its not too long ago, but it seems kinda long.... Just been too caught up with life to even find time to write about it.... ironic.... and for some reason, i notice my chatbox has been deleted.... and it says that its nonexistent???? shaitz....
AAAnnnyywayy...
Been having to work late since yesterday, company was facing some major backlogged work that we had to clear up before the end of the week, hopefully i dont have to stay at work for 12 hours after this.... Takes its toll on the brain....hahaha.... makes me wonder how workaholics do what they do....
My baby has been having some trouble with the life of our hamsters. One of which we just bought to keep the other company, but turns out that bummie doesnt want any company.... by the way, the other hamsters name is tum tum..... and not only are the hamsters giving trouble, my baby's mother is giving trouble about the hamsters.... this is a really good example of the saying "i never saw this coming".... for my case, its applied to me buying bummie for valentines day.... hahaha.... but the smile on my baby's face when she plays with the little fellas make up for it all.... eventhough it cost me one session of futsal...hahaha.....
Speaking of which....i've really regained that passion for football that i lost for a while.... Sunday nights are like, a major event of my weekly routine..... and its good coz its the only form of exercise i get anyway....
Couple of days ago i had a battle of the bands (as u can see in the picture above)
Played alright although i had some trouble with the drumset that was provided, just hoping that we at least get through to the finals.... We played in Universiti Malaya and it seems like a pretty big event with big sponsors so at least i know its worth a shot...
Also with regards to the band, i managed to get some prospective gigs with rebecca...who seems interested in getting my band to play at their mass comm events.... good experience nonetheless..... but thats in april, so i'll just have to wait and see if it matrializes....
Oh yea... my baby and i have finally arranged a date for our trip to pulau perhentian... and after some declined efforts to invite the rest to join us, it seems like its just gonna be my baby and i... which is of course a good thing because we've never been on a trip together before.... really looking forward to it... how i miss that clear, calm ocean water.... gona set aside about 500 odd bucks for the whole trip, pretty worthwhile considering it includes food and lodging and boat fares....
On to the more inferior things in life.... my car...hahaha....
FINALLY...im gonna get the air cond fixed up properly this weekend....gonna cost a bomb but HOPEFULLY it will prove to be money well spent.... and i got new rims as well YAHOO!.... for abour RM300 bucks, a set of 14" OZ rims..... now aint that a good buy... i didnt realize they were OZ until i saw the engraving a couple of days after i fitted them..... good stuff.....
Speaking fo good stuff.. United 1 - 0 Liverpool .... as much as Liverpudlians would like to say it was luck, i have to comment that it all came down to the goalkeeper... who are part of the team and their contribution cannot and should not be seen as luck..... Van der Sar denied crouch superbly, whereas Reina didnt do his job too well when he spilled a ronaldo free kick only for O'Shea to blast it in the roof of the net.... GOOD STUFF...
Shanes birthday is coming up in a while and the guys and i are providing a little bit of entertainment for the night.... things arent looking too bright at the moment coz we basically have done NOTHING in terms of preparation together.... individually maybe, hopefully we can pull this off.... never performed in front of my friends before, haha.... and unfortunately ill be on guitars and not drums... ah well..... Oh yea..by the way, i thought of a new name for the band..instead of the very mundane and awkwardly sounding MIXED BREED, i thought the name SHANES BEST FRIENDS has a nicer and more modern ring to it...hahaha..
So yea, nothing phylosophical about this post, its merely a way of curing the itch for writing which i have come to realize i enjoy doing very much...

Forgive my retardedly poor rendition of the chinese language.... and Yes, i know that if u pronounce it right the title isnt really as what i made it out to be....

Valentines is over and so is Chinese new Year....For me at least...
For valentines...i already mentioned i bought my baby a hamster and as for me, i got a pair of black boxers of which my baby stitched the wordings " I LOVE YOU... always have always will" on the bottom left part of the boxer, a pink heart shaped pillow, and a nice card.... This is proof that regardless of the price, the smallest of things can carry the most of meanings.... Unfortunately the dinner i bought for us was pretty much crap.... we had it at all stars cafe which in simple terms, was a 4/10 experience.... but the carbonara wasnt too bad...
And so Valentines day whizzed by, and the next thing i know, red packets, mandarin oranges, kua chi, mah jong and unbelievably annoying chinese music had burried the "happy valentines" theme in shopping malls.....
Yes... Chinese New Year is here.... it really doesnt seem all that "new year-ish" to me for some reason..... its like, it doesnt carry that much meaning anymore...apart from the red packets.... tee hee....
I had to celebrate the first couple of days of the CNY without my baby who had to endure a torturous trip to penang which ended in disaster when she passed out and fell sick.... I couldnt help but miss her throughout the 4 days she was gone.... but at least i managed to make the most of my time.... I think the last post i did was in a cyber cafe with shane.... Apart from that, i spent some time with cousin chris and we started to play snooker again... like the old days....

As with every CNY year in year out.... im bound to lose money when i gamble.... Gambling + Myself = Money going to the banker..... just never works for me.... shit luck i suppose? Now its the end of CNY (for me at least..dont concentrate too much on the 3rd day or 4th day and shit) and im left with a healthy 300 bucks.... 10 bucks short of how much im supposed to have which i lost due to gambling....ironicaly....
Planning to get myself a new pair of shoes and possibly something for the car....
Speaking of shoes...which leads me to brands.... I hate how effective commercials, advertisements and product/brand marketing tactics affects people... prior to this, i was a loyal supporter of the Adidas line of footwear, but after what Nike's marketing team have dished out, its sort of managed to convert me to the "nike" side... i cant say its bad coz Nike have recently come up with some kick ass designs....

Out of the ordinary
Its 3am now in the wee hours of a saturday morning.... My baby just left for penang not long ago and im missing her quite a lot now... she'll only be back on monday....sigh... the long wait...
Apart from that, im not in the comfort of my own home right now... im actually a a cyber cafe with my buddy shane... i just came back from a pool session with kyle and gerard... just as a means of passing time and catching up with the guys...
Guess im gonna have to keep myself occupied till my baby gets back to me...really missing her now .... sigh.....
Tomorrow's gonna be pretty busy.... bringing chris seng lock to do some wiring work on his car, got lunch with the family in the afternoon, gotta meet my dad in the evening, then have dinner with "that" side of the family...ooh joy..... (sarcasm sarcasm) All in the "spirit" of chinese new year....
Oh yea...ive got to mention before i go on that i bought my baby a hamster for valentines... named it Bummie... (because it tends to sleep heck of a lot... it runs on the wheel and falls asleep) hence the name BUM-MIE....sounds cuter than say, BUM-MER?
AAAnyyyway...
Im actually trying to make use of this time away from my baby to catch up on things i dont normally do when she's around.... but it actually seems pretty hard....I practically feel... incomplete... no its not some corny line, but rather its practically how i feel right now without her around....
Perhaps i can catch up on my music while she's gone.... maybe i can meet up with old friends while shes gone.....maybe i can have those late night beers while shes gone...... but none of the above is gonna make up for her absence :(

Stranger than Fiction
Thats the name of the movie i just caught for free yesterday night. Watched the 9:30 show with my baby and so happened that chris chan seng lok and his girly girl were in the same theatre, at the same time, just a couple of seats away...still, we didnt even know we were as close to each other as we were....
Anyway....
Stranger than fiction tells a story of a man...Harold Crick was his name... who lives a rather mundane life, even that is an understatement to how mundane his life really is....and about an author who is undergoing a major case of writers block who is finding a way to finish her latest piece which impossibly involves the actual life of this Harold Crick. Basically, whatever he does is being narrated by that female author. The story slowly unfolds with Harold finding romance, learning the values of life, and realizing that the narrative voice he hears, is in fact real and not a mere sound in his head....
The rest...I think you should find out for yourself.... the movie is great... totally out of the ordinary and is worth a watch....maybe not necessarily in the cinema because of its non-existent special effects (u dont need special effects in a show like this), so do grab a pirated copy of the DVD and watch it in the comfort of your own home.... if u have a girlfriend or boyfriend, watch it with him or her....
Really good film...unless your one of those people with lack of substance and only enjoy shows like crossroads, bring it on...you get the picture.... This show is not at all Shallow....

Life's been good actually...in fact, its more than good... in the great lyrics of switchfoot, life is in fact, more than fine....
First off...works been great.... My team is being led by a couple of american gentlemen who have been of great help and motivation to me and the whole team.... ive stepped up a notch, got an increment last month, and have been promised chances of promotion... That being said, work has in fact, taken a turn for the better.... I just did a short recording for my company, as were trying to get an account with Google, so i had to read a script with an american accent....hahahah....i guess all this practice with accents is proving to have a purpose after all....
My baby and i? Well, were doing very very well now.... we just got past some rough patches and i must say its made our relationship more mature.... I can actually feel a sense of, how would you say..... Development.... its taken a step up....and i couldnt be happier...Furthermore, valentines is around the corner....
My car? well.... its pretty much the same....found out that my brakes were too think to be skimmed and i ran the risk of them disintegrating with high speed braking if i skimmed then.... To make things worse, a replacement set of discs would set me back about 170 bucks a piece.... SO now, im just focusing on the air cond for next month... Doesnt bother me too much anyway as the brakes are working fine, the steering wheel just vibrates a little when braking at reasonable speeds....
Family life has worked out well as well.... My sister seems to have gotten herself sorted out, mum has managed to get herself settled in their shifting to California, i just took grandpa and grandma out for dinner at manattan fish market with my baby...something which i should have done a while ago...., but ive still yet to work things out with dad.... sigh...i dont know how im gonna do that one, but im sure it'll come together one day.... god willing....
Well...thats about all thats been happening with me from a large scale.... not too long ago, the usual suspects and I managed to take a trip to Zoo Negara.... Yea, good fun although i thought it wouldve been boring.... The trip has basically been covered in kevins blog and my babys blog...so i dont think it'd serve much purpose here....
Wonder where the next trip will be....
Apart from that, i went clubbing with my dear cousin chris...brought my baby to finally have her R&B music with cousin sarah...met countless people at Maisons....good fun although i couldve done with more drinks....all i had was a beer....18 bucks....sigh....Poor month for me...
Anyway...
My eyes are failing on me once again, and the weather isnt helping much.... really hot here in the computer room.... Think ill call it a night....
its friday tomoro and then its the weekend....yeay...
