Talk Shit Flower Child (Kong Xi Fa Cai)

Forgive my retardedly poor rendition of the chinese language.... and Yes, i know that if u pronounce it right the title isnt really as what i made it out to be....

Aaanyway....

Valentines is over and so is Chinese new Year....For me at least...

For valentines...i already mentioned i bought my baby a hamster and as for me, i got a pair of black boxers of which my baby stitched the wordings " I LOVE YOU... always have always will" on the bottom left part of the boxer, a pink heart shaped pillow, and a nice card.... This is proof that regardless of the price, the smallest of things can carry the most of meanings.... Unfortunately the dinner i bought for us was pretty much crap.... we had it at all stars cafe which in simple terms, was a 4/10 experience.... but the carbonara wasnt too bad...

And so Valentines day whizzed by, and the next thing i know, red packets, mandarin oranges, kua chi, mah jong and unbelievably annoying chinese music had burried the "happy valentines" theme in shopping malls.....

Yes... Chinese New Year is here.... it really doesnt seem all that "new year-ish" to me for some reason..... its like, it doesnt carry that much meaning anymore...apart from the red packets.... tee hee....
I had to celebrate the first couple of days of the CNY without my baby who had to endure a torturous trip to penang which ended in disaster when she passed out and fell sick.... I couldnt help but miss her throughout the 4 days she was gone.... but at least i managed to make the most of my time.... I think the last post i did was in a cyber cafe with shane.... Apart from that, i spent some time with cousin chris and we started to play snooker again... like the old days....

AAAnnnyyywayyy...

As with every CNY year in year out.... im bound to lose money when i gamble.... Gambling + Myself = Money going to the banker..... just never works for me.... shit luck i suppose? Now its the end of CNY (for me at least..dont concentrate too much on the 3rd day or 4th day and shit) and im left with a healthy 300 bucks.... 10 bucks short of how much im supposed to have which i lost due to gambling....ironicaly....
Planning to get myself a new pair of shoes and possibly something for the car....

Speaking of shoes...which leads me to brands.... I hate how effective commercials, advertisements and product/brand marketing tactics affects people... prior to this, i was a loyal supporter of the Adidas line of footwear, but after what Nike's marketing team have dished out, its sort of managed to convert me to the "nike" side... i cant say its bad coz Nike have recently come up with some kick ass designs....

BATTLE OF THE BRANDS

VS

AAnnyway...

On to better things... My baby came back yesterday....i spent the whole of today with her... visited her dad, bought her Camera which she'd been wanting for a while now, checked out my shoes and caught "ghost rider" (a certain someone who was supposed to come watch it with me and baby couldnt make it in the end....)

btw... Ghost Rider isnt all that good...... dont get me wrong...its not BAAADD...its just not GOOOOD either... get the picture?

Well.... Im at the end of my holiday... theres a UEFA champions League game between United and Lille at 3am, but i cant watch it coz ive got work tomorrow.... SIIIIGHHH.... work....

Last but not least....i need a haircut....

Out of the ordinary

Its 3am now in the wee hours of a saturday morning.... My baby just left for penang not long ago and im missing her quite a lot now... she'll only be back on monday....sigh... the long wait...

Apart from that, im not in the comfort of my own home right now... im actually a a cyber cafe with my buddy shane... i just came back from a pool session with kyle and gerard... just as a means of passing time and catching up with the guys...

Guess im gonna have to keep myself occupied till my baby gets back to me...really missing her now .... sigh.....

Tomorrow's gonna be pretty busy.... bringing chris seng lock to do some wiring work on his car, got lunch with the family in the afternoon, gotta meet my dad in the evening, then have dinner with "that" side of the family...ooh joy..... (sarcasm sarcasm) All in the "spirit" of chinese new year....

Oh yea...ive got to mention before i go on that i bought my baby a hamster for valentines... named it Bummie... (because it tends to sleep heck of a lot... it runs on the wheel and falls asleep) hence the name BUM-MIE....sounds cuter than say, BUM-MER?

AAAnyyyway...

Im actually trying to make use of this time away from my baby to catch up on things i dont normally do when she's around.... but it actually seems pretty hard....I practically feel... incomplete... no its not some corny line, but rather its practically how i feel right now without her around....

Perhaps i can catch up on my music while she's gone.... maybe i can meet up with old friends while shes gone.....maybe i can have those late night beers while shes gone...... but none of the above is gonna make up for her absence :(

miss u baby....

Guess ill make a move now.... see wht the weekend brings.....

Stranger than Fiction

Thats the name of the movie i just caught for free yesterday night. Watched the 9:30 show with my baby and so happened that chris chan seng lok and his girly girl were in the same theatre, at the same time, just a couple of seats away...still, we didnt even know we were as close to each other as we were....

Anyway....

Stranger than fiction tells a story of a man...Harold Crick was his name... who lives a rather mundane life, even that is an understatement to how mundane his life really is....and about an author who is undergoing a major case of writers block who is finding a way to finish her latest piece which impossibly involves the actual life of this Harold Crick. Basically, whatever he does is being narrated by that female author. The story slowly unfolds with Harold finding romance, learning the values of life, and realizing that the narrative voice he hears, is in fact real and not a mere sound in his head....
The rest...I think you should find out for yourself.... the movie is great... totally out of the ordinary and is worth a watch....maybe not necessarily in the cinema because of its non-existent special effects (u dont need special effects in a show like this), so do grab a pirated copy of the DVD and watch it in the comfort of your own home.... if u have a girlfriend or boyfriend, watch it with him or her....
Really good film...unless your one of those people with lack of substance and only enjoy shows like crossroads, bring it on...you get the picture.... This show is not at all Shallow....

Douglas does not condone the purchase of pirated items.

The Show sort of inspires you to live life more... although its just a movie, it does in fact carry a lot of messages and pulls on the emotional strings.... Comedy is of abundance as well...as with all Will Ferell shows...

Enough with the life of harold crick...on to the my own life....

My new found fashion

Life's been good actually...in fact, its more than good... in the great lyrics of switchfoot, life is in fact, more than fine....
First off...works been great.... My team is being led by a couple of american gentlemen who have been of great help and motivation to me and the whole team.... ive stepped up a notch, got an increment last month, and have been promised chances of promotion... That being said, work has in fact, taken a turn for the better.... I just did a short recording for my company, as were trying to get an account with Google, so i had to read a script with an american accent....hahahah....i guess all this practice with accents is proving to have a purpose after all....

My baby and i? Well, were doing very very well now.... we just got past some rough patches and i must say its made our relationship more mature.... I can actually feel a sense of, how would you say..... Development.... its taken a step up....and i couldnt be happier...Furthermore, valentines is around the corner....

My car? well.... its pretty much the same....found out that my brakes were too think to be skimmed and i ran the risk of them disintegrating with high speed braking if i skimmed then.... To make things worse, a replacement set of discs would set me back about 170 bucks a piece.... SO now, im just focusing on the air cond for next month... Doesnt bother me too much anyway as the brakes are working fine, the steering wheel just vibrates a little when braking at reasonable speeds....

Family life has worked out well as well.... My sister seems to have gotten herself sorted out, mum has managed to get herself settled in their shifting to California, i just took grandpa and grandma out for dinner at manattan fish market with my baby...something which i should have done a while ago...., but ive still yet to work things out with dad.... sigh...i dont know how im gonna do that one, but im sure it'll come together one day.... god willing....

Well...thats about all thats been happening with me from a large scale.... not too long ago, the usual suspects and I managed to take a trip to Zoo Negara.... Yea, good fun although i thought it wouldve been boring.... The trip has basically been covered in kevins blog and my babys blog...so i dont think it'd serve much purpose here....

Wonder where the next trip will be....

Apart from that, i went clubbing with my dear cousin chris...brought my baby to finally have her R&B music with cousin sarah...met countless people at Maisons....good fun although i couldve done with more drinks....all i had was a beer....18 bucks....sigh....Poor month for me...

Anyway...

My eyes are failing on me once again, and the weather isnt helping much.... really hot here in the computer room.... Think ill call it a night....
its friday tomoro and then its the weekend....yeay...

All its glory

It comes in the most deceiving and unsuspecting of forms. Wearing a facade of which even the wisest of men will not see through. But behind those blue eyes lurks a darkness that remains unseen till the worst happens.
Tell me where is the evil in a way of life that teaches its disciples the values of patience, tolerance, unconditional love, trust....god...

It hides whiles it whispers its traits, grants you abundance, earns you respect, portrays wisdom and presents you with a new sense of belief beyond any form of belief imaginable.
It attracts people whom you never knew, and draws them closer to you. Presenting itself like a plague of unmatched wisdom it spreads from word of mouth, from voice to ear, from ear to mind, and from mind to heart. You will be exalted, glorified, placed on a pedestal but the one thing....the one thing it doesnt do, is spread to those whom truly love you.... Where there is true love, it will not prevail.....

Bit by bit it consumes you.... by providing unreasonable alternatives to lifes challenges, irresponsibility becomes a way to let others show responsibility, ignorance is patience... Even up to this stage, its true colours are yet to emerge....

Oh how silent it works.... It first gives you everything, and then it takes away the most important things in your life..... and convinces you that they are in fact disposable... It teaches you that nobody understands, unless they accept it, embrace it....

"There is no wrong... they just.... dont understand"

I was consumed... The sheer brilliance of it all held me like a dog on a leesh and i gave my trust and respect as i unknowingly watched it consume the man i looked up to.... Through it all, at the corner of my mind, something held me back....a gut feeling, so to speak.. At the deepest corner of my mind, i knew it was not right or as divine as it claimed to be.

When it mattered, i lost.... how it played my mind a fool all this while with its deceptive methods.... what made it worse, was the disguise that it wore....
I gave in to the man i called father.... and not it.... The trust i bestowed was to the man i called father, and not to it.... i was fooled.

Who was to know, how was i to know... the one person who thought me some of the best values in life, would be its tool... I knew him no longer...

Love for your own kin never dies.... true love will never die at least...and my love for him is no different. Though i have come out stronger, though i have come out all the wiser, though i have come out with a clearer vision of it .... nothing will erase the haunting feeling, the rush of blood, the pounding on my temples, the sheer feeling of betrayal.....and nothing changes the thought that dwells in my mind that he is not the man i once knew.....

To my father... I will always love you for who you have been to me.....and for the man i am....
But to the man whom i looked up to.... i dont know how to anymore.....

just a thought..

I dont know why...but this thought just came to me....

You can never "know" how to live life.... You just live it.... uncertain and unprepared....you will never actually be "ready" for whats ahead....

Past few days

I've been trying to get this particular post up for a good week now... everynight i sit down and try to upload the stuff, the com always seems to give me shit....like now....its loading friggin slowly...

Its been a pretty rough but smooth week for me... havent seen a lot of the rest in a while, been caught up with work, family financial situation got from bad to badder (if there is such a word), and im low on cash....
On the brightside...ive got a couple of new aquaintances at work, did some pretty awesome things during the weekend, my baby got her hair straightened and she looks good, my cousin has gotten on with life and i finally managed to get this blog post up....

Family life has been pretty tough as i had mentioned earlier.... im actually still feelign a lil uncomfortable with my dad, money seems to be getting less and less, and there are issues with my mum over in the states. I cant help but feel shitty about the whole thing..... Although i am in fact doing pretty well to cope with it that i must say.... In the coming months, im gonna be trying to find some money from my own pocket to help out with the whole situation, how im gonna manage that, only time will tell.... sigh.... never in my wildest dreams would i have seen that the one thing bothering me is family related.... All i can do is hope and pray that my mum can put the pieces together soon enough....

An old friend of mine will be having his birthday at maison's this weekend but judging by my financial state, going is in fact gona be a problem...even if i were able to go in without paying, i would just feel uneasy coz most of the rest would have had to pay to enter...
In case i havent stated it before, paying 40 bucks for a drink and a couple of hours with thumping loud music and interesting looking people isnt worth it.... Its not worth the RM40 cover charge.... well at least to me it isnt... it doesnt provide me with RM40 bucks worth of satisfaction....unless of course if it were a special occasion...then there'd be a whole new purpose for it...

Speaking of which...Muse are coming down.....and take my word for it, they are one of THE BEST LIVE ROCK BANDS .... Yes they are.... Listen to em live and you'll know wht i mean...

Oh yea, american idol is back...and it seems to have attracted a big bunch of weird americans this time around...hahaha...although there were some really good ones....

Im actually just thinking about it and i feel pretty sad...coz i have absolutely nothing interesting to write about....damn...that is, in no way a good sign.... But that doesnt mean life is bad...nonononono...life is great...its just a tad too....normal?

Think i need to do more things which are out of the ordinary...

Anyway...here's a couple of shots of the more interesting times of the week...

middle of january already?

My last post was on December the 31st.... seems like 2 days ago when in fact it has been about a fortnight ago.... cant remember the definition of fortnight...2 weeks back right?

Anyway...

Firstly..i wanna say i managed to almost satisfyingly kit up charlotte when i bought her side skirts last week.... cost me less than 70 bucks including installation... so all in all..the whole body kit has cost me less than RM200...wohoo....

Works been pretty alright recently.... tough as usual, but slowly gaining stability.... sort of going through the effects of being under-staffed which is being worked on at the moment.... got to know some new peeps as well...

Speaking of getting to know new peeps... Im officially a member of the Satria Neo Club. NET and not .COM....remember... www.satrianeoclub.net ..... some conflict going on there which i dont want to be part of... but yea, met a bunch of new individuals which i have yet to meet but will be meeting in a couple of days time at their TT (teh tarik) session.... and althought i dont have a Neo, i think i wouldnt lose anything if i learn about the car... My baby has the car anyway and its a nice car.... seen a couple of the members rides and they are pretty nice looking....

Big congrats to Tezt for finishing up his paint job...the car is looking great i must say..... and to Choo for finishing his conversion although he's lacking a couple of essentials at the moment.... Sad to hear that Desmond or MR.Q8 will be selling his car.... SO if anybody reading this wants a really really good 1985 toyota starlet with about 200 + on tap.....do let me know.... ill hook u up with the dude....This is a Autocross winning car just fyi....

Oh yea...My big ceylonese buddy kyle came back from langkawi recently, and weve been having this sudden craze for the GAME OF LIFE.... the board game? if u dont know....shoot urself.... its from milton and bradley..... been playing it in mcdonalds for a good couple of hours, played in coffee bean and right now... my other buddy kevin kok lit wen holds the high score of $1,800,000....followed by my baby at $1,659,000 or something like that... so i got to take that title of from kevin as soon as i can...hahaha..dipshit....

Anyway..

The eye lids are beginning to close on me now.... and sad but true, nothing REALLY interesting happened the past couple of days...although this weekend will be a good one... chris seng lok's bday at sunway, Satria neo club meetup, have a choice to go to this event in KL Convention Center for this studio C thing, and the usual night gatherings i guess.....tiring...but good nonetheless..... at least i hope it will be.....
